Sushree Mishra is a practicing counsellor and psychotherapist in multiple set ups since last 12 years. She has experience of working with private, public and non-governmental organizations in the capacity of a psychological counselling professional and crisis counsellor.
Sushree has received her BSIC training from Parivarthan, Bangalore in 2008-09 and trauma informed therapist trained in EMDR 1. Sushree did her ISP training with Dr Mimansa Popat and Dr Raja Selvam in 2019 and part of the assisting team now. She uses a combination of movement and drama therapy, sand tray work and expressive art therapy to enhance the effectiveness of her sessions.
Sushree is the founder of human context solutions Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore which focuses in providing mental health services in Bangalore and Odisha. She also leads all program partnerships on mental wellness association with CYSD, Bhubaneswar and is currently leading a team of CRPs (Community Resource Persons) to cater to the psychosocial needs of rural and tribal communities of Odisha during COVID-19 pandemic amongst other.
Chitra is a counselling psychologist and parent coach with 12 year’s of experience. Chitra has been working with adults, children, adolescents and couples in her practice and in corporate and school settings.
She is especially keen to engage with families to identify and improve communication patterns and other dynamics that has far reaching impact on the wellbeing of the entire family. Chitra was part of the youth and child helpline as a coordinator & counsellor for a few years. She also has designed and delivered several workshops for teachers on counselling skills in classroom, self-awareness and teenage challenges. Chitra has been a trainer, counsellor and supervisor for counsellor trainees in reputed training institutes.
Anjana is a trained counsellor having a master’s degree in psychology along with specializations in child and adolescent counselling as well as family and couples counselling. Additionally, she also holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
She has six years of experience of engaging with a diverse group of people ranging from young children and adolescents to adults and the elderly. Some of the issues she has worked with are peer pressure, exam stress, parenting difficulties, work related stress, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, etc. She has worked in educational institutions and also has volunteered in hospitals.
Harini Iyer is a psychotherapist and psychologist by profession and has been in this space for about eight years. She is interested in helping people gain mastery over their lives and choices, empowering them to change their narratives the way they'd like it to be.
She has been collaborating with children, adolescents and adults in this process to be more effective and respectful of the people she works with. She has training in EMDR, ISP and DARe as therapy modalities. Apart from this, She also has professional training in REBT, DMT and AAT areas. Her inclination is to work with trauma and it's after effects, apart from mood, anxiety and other such concerns. She loves seeing people grow and bloom, taking charge of their own lives and she feels privileged to be part of this process.

Individuals experiencing interpersonal relationship issues/ stress/ confusion/ anxiety/ depression/ loss & grief/ disturbed/ suicidal/ less productive/ identity crisis/ Trauma & Job related challenges could be benefitted through individual counselling.
Generally, it takes close to one hour to conduct a counselling session. In the first session, the focus is on explaining the counselling process/ clarifying queries related to expectations from counselling. This session is utilized to build rapport, set the goal, establish ethical boundaries & provide a basic understanding of how both the counsellor & client can work together. For example frequency of session, timings, communication mode & session fees.
Ideally, one session is scheduled per week & it continues as per mutual availability &requirement. While Brief therapy may last for two to ten sessions, sometimes it might be longer as per the requirement of the client, maturity of the issue & gravitas of the psychological impact.
Child counselling aims at helping children in the age group of six to twelve years.
Children experiencing difficulties in academics, social adjustments, schools, following daily routines, etc., may be helped by a child counsellor with consistent support. Those children who have survived different traumatic incidents like child sexual abuse, domestic violence, calamities (natural & man Made), accidents (road/fire), death of immediate family members, and the legal separation of parents are helped through child counselling intervention for both short term & long term healing hence the parents, caregivers, guardians & teachers are suggested to refer these children to a trained child counsellor/a Trauma-informed child therapist at the earliest.
A counselling session last 30-35 minutes maximum & the main caregivers, the child & the therapist work in coordination keeping in mind the child's welfare.
Different modalities, tools & techniques are used to work with children & adolescents along with talk therapy. Adolescent counselling mainly focuses on teenagers (thirteen years to nineteen years). While many adolescents go through the above issues like children there are other added growing-up challenges. It may include sexual orientation, experimentation, lack of acceptance & belonging, peer pressure, parental expectation, fear of failure, and relationship issues.
In order to create a safe space, a respectable identity, healthy boundaries, deal with their conclusions & limitations and understand their sexuality & meaningful life goals, adolescents are supposed to be guided to seek counselling help & timely intervention.

Family counselling is a method of psychological intervention that aims at improving the relationship , communication, regular functioning of all the members. This is designed to help family members resolve issues that the family might be uniquely going through.
The purpose of Family counselling is to create a safer and trusted home environment , healthy relationship among its members, ability to resolve conflict, and focus on collective wellbeing of the family as a single unit.
Family counselling is generally sought by parents and their unmarried children. However, its not restricted to this format. Family session may be extended from 60 to 90 minutes as per the session goal. Families having people with mental illness(PMI) , frequent violent / abusive episodes, other terminal illnesses, serious financial loss , any member with suicidal tendency, or substance abuse are recommended to seek family therapy to decrease further emotional damage and increase resilience to go through life .
Groups could generally be utilized for educational or therapeutic purposes or for both. Some groups focus primarily on assisting individuals look into the ways they think, feel and behave and possibly consider few amendments. Where as groups having an educational aim, help their members learn appropriate social behaviour or a safer coping mechanism. According to Gerald Corey, ‘A group approach can help people meet almost any need. One of the main reasons the group approach has become so popular is that it is frequent;y more effective than the individual approach. This effectiveness stems from the fact that group members not only gain insight but practice new skills both within the group and in their everyday interactions outside the group.’ Multiple perspectives and personal life experiences shared by different members enrich the learning outcome as well.
An ideal group is consisting of 8 to 12 members. Group Work could vary on the basis of the nature and degree of the issue faced by the group members.
